The development of automation technology is promoting the development of packaging technology. Now automatic packaging machines have been widely used, especially in food, chemical, medical, hardware accessories and other industries. Currently, common automatic packaging machines can be divided into vertical and pillow types. So what are the differences between these two types of automatic packaging machines?
Vertical packaging machine
Vertical packaging machines occupy a smaller area and have a higher degree of automation. The roll material of small vertical packaging machines is usually placed at the upper end of the front, and the roll material of other multifunctional packaging machines is placed at the upper end of the back. Then the roll material is made into packaging bags through a bag making machine, and then the filling, sealing, and transportation of the materials are performed.
Vertical packaging machines can be divided into two types: self-made bags and Premade Bag Packing Machines. The bag feeding type means that the existing pre-made packaging bags are placed in the bag placement area, and the opening, blowing, metering and cutting, sealing, printing and other processes are completed sequentially through horizontal bag walking. The difference between the self-made bag type and the bag-feeding type is that the self-made bag type needs to automatically complete the process of roll forming or film forming bag making, and this process is basically completed in a horizontal form.
Pillow packaging machine
The pillow packaging machine occupies a larger area and has a slightly lower degree of automation. Its characteristic is that the packaging materials are put into a horizontal conveying mechanism and sent to the roll or film entrance, and then run synchronously, sequentially going through processes such as heat sealing, air extraction (vacuum packaging) or air supply (inflatable packaging), and cutting.
The pillow packaging machine is more suitable for single or multiple integrated materials in block, strip, or ball shapes such as bread, biscuits, instant noodles, etc. Vertical packaging machines are mostly used for powder, liquid, and granular materials.
