The principle of air jet milling involves compressed air that, after being cooled, filtered, and dried, passes through a Laval nozzle to form a supersonic air jet that is injected into the milling chamber, causing the material to become fluidized. The accelerated material converges at the intersection of several nozzles, where intense collisions, friction, and shear forces result in the ultrafine grinding of the particles. Therefore, this milling method is a medium-free grinding, yielding the highest purity of the ground material. At the same time, it is a low-temperature grinding process, making it particularly suitable for grinding Matcha materials .
