Tea fermentation equipment

Red broken tea fermentation equipment

A type of tea fermentation equipment whose main function is to ferment processed leaves under suitable temperature, humidity, and oxygen supply conditions. These devices include mobile fermentation buckets, fermentation trucks, shallow plate fermentation machines, fermentation tanks, as well as continuous operation drum, bed, closed fermentation equipment, etc.

Fermentation basket

It is also a type of black tea fermentation equipment, usually made of bamboo strips or metal wires woven into a rectangular shape. When doing homework, evenly spread the rolled leaves in a basket with a thickness of about 10 centimeters, and then place them in the fermentation chamber for fermentation. In order to maintain the humidity of the leaves, a layer of damp cloth is usually covered on the surface of the basket. Meanwhile, it is important to note that the leaves should not be tightly pressed to avoid excessive dehydration.

Vehicle type fermentation equipment

It consists of a low-pressure centrifugal fan, rectangular air duct, humid air generation device, and several fermentation carts. These fermentation trucks have a unique shape, with a large top and a small bottom, like a bucket shaped car. During homework, the kneaded and cut leaves are loaded into the fermentation cart, and then pushed to the outlet of the fixed rectangular air duct, so that the ventilation duct of the cart is tightly connected to the outlet duct of the rectangular air duct. Then open the air inlet valve, and the low-pressure centrifugal fan will start working, providing humidified air. This air continuously enters the tea leaves from the bottom of the fermentation car through the punching plate, helping the tea leaves complete the oxygen supply fermentation process.

Fermentation tank

The fermentation tank is like a huge container, which is composed of tank body, fan, air duct, spray, etc. One end of the tank body is equipped with a blower and a spray, and eight fermentation baskets are placed on the tank body. Each fermentation basket can hold 27-30 kilograms of tea leaves, with a leaf layer thickness of approximately 20 millimeters. These baskets have metal woven nets at the bottom to support the tea leaves. There is also a blade grid in front of the fan, which is used to regulate the air volume. During operation, the tea is put into the basket, and then the fan and spray are started. The moist air passes evenly through the leaf layer through the channel at the bottom of the trough, helping the tea to ferment. Every 5 minutes or so, a basket containing fermenting leaves will be sent to the other end of the tank, while at the same time, a basket that has already completed fermentation will be taken out from the other end of the tank. This system has sufficient oxygen supply, so the color of the tea soup will appear particularly bright.

Fermentation drum

Another common fermentation equipment is the fermentation drum, which has a main structure of a cylinder with a diameter of 2 meters and a length of 6 meters. The outlet end is conical, with a central opening and a fan installed. There are 8 rectangular holes on the cone, connected to a conveyor below, and a vibrating screen is placed on the machine. This device is dragged by a pulley through a transmission coil, with a speed of 1 revolution per minute. After the tea leaves enter the tube, start the fan to blow moist air into the tube for leaf fermentation. Under the action of the guide plate inside the tube, the tea leaves slowly move forward, and when fermentation is suitable, they are discharged through the outlet square hole. The design of square holes is beneficial for dispersing clumped leaf clusters.

Bed type fermentation equipment

The continuous tea fermentation machine is composed of a breathable plate fermentation bed, a fan and a spray, an upper leaf conveyor, a leaf cleaner, a ventilation pipe and an air flow regulating valve. During operation, the rolled and cut leaves are sent to the fermentation bed surface evenly through the upper leaf conveyor. The wet air penetrates the tea through the holes of the shutter to ferment, and takes away heat and waste gas. The residence time of tea on the bed surface can be adjusted to achieve uniform fermentation effect.

Closed fermentation equipment

The body is enclosed and equipped with air conditioning and mist pump. This device consists of a body, a casing, a five layer circular rubber conveyor belt, and a transmission mechanism. Tea leaves undergo multiple layers of fermentation inside the machine and are transported by rubber conveyor belts to achieve continuous production. The fermentation environment of this device is relatively closed, the tea quality is stable, and it can produce high-quality broken red tea. Optimize the temperature and humidity of the air, and install a small exhaust fan at the top of the machine cavity to discharge exhaust gas. The fermentation process is carried out on a five layer rubber belt, and the time is precisely controlled by a deceleration mechanism. During work, tea leaves are evenly conveyed to the top rubber conveyor belt. As the conveyor belt moves forward, the tea leaves fall layer by layer from top to bottom and undergo fermentation during the falling process. Each drop is accompanied by the stirring and disintegration of tea leaves, ensuring even fermentation. Temperature, humidity, and time can be adjusted according to demand to ensure high-quality fermentation results. At the same time, the equipment also supports continuous production, greatly improving production efficiency.
