Black tea still popular in Europe

Under the dominance of the British tea trade auction market, the market is full of black tea bag , which is grown as an export cash crop in Western countries. Black tea has dominated the European tea market from the very beginning. Its brewing method is simple. Use freshly boiled water to brew for a few minutes, one spoonful per pot, one spoonful per person, and enjoy the tea in a straightforward and simple way.

In the late 19th century, tea was also an important vehicle for social and family gatherings, such as sitting together for afternoon tea, gathering in a tea garden, or inviting friends and celebrities to a tea party. Industrialisation and the globalisation that followed have allowed big corporations to bring black tea to thousands of households in Europe, most conveniently with the invention of tea bags, then ready-to-drink (RTD) teas, all of which are black teas.

Black tea entering Europe from India, Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) and East Africa has established market segments. According to the established taste characteristics, such as strong breakfast tea, mild afternoon tea, blend with milk; black tea in the mass market is mainly packaged black tea. These high-quality black teas have been carefully processed, and most of them are single tea garden tea products. After fierce competition in the domestic and international markets, they have attracted much attention as a product that stands out. They are hugely appealing to consumers looking for something novelty without losing the character of a good tea.
