First Internation Tea day

In November 2019, the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly passed and designated May 21 as the “International Tea Day” every year. Since then, the world has a festival that belongs to tea lovers.

This is a small leaf, but not just a small leaf. Tea is recognized as one of the top three health drinks in the world. More than 3 billion people around the world like to drink tea, which means that 2 out of 5 people drink tea. The countries that like tea the most are Turkey, Libya, Morocco, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. There are more than 60 countries in the world that produce tea, and tea output has exceeded 6 million tons. China, India, Kenya, Sri Lanka, and Turkey are the top five tea producing countries in the world. With a population of 7.9 billion, more than 1 billion people are engaged in tea-related work. Tea is the mainstay of agriculture in some poor countries and the main source of income.

China is the origin of tea, and Chinese tea is known by the world as the “Oriental Mysterious Leaf”. Today, this little “Eastern God Leaf” is moving towards the world stage in a gorgeous posture.

On May 21, 2020, we celebrate the first International Tea Day.
